  English Beat\, Bruce Cockburn\, Joan Baez\, Laura Love\, Marc Cohn\, Mi
 chael Tomlinson\, &amp\; Catie Curtis.\n\nKevin’s original lyrics are 
 well crafted\, and his guitar playing is innovative and precise. His voi
 ce is powerful\, gutsy\, and pure. He plays a variety of different guita
 rs and has an extensive collection of standard and custom built stringed
  instruments. He uses odd and low tunings to create a huge performance s
 ound. Acoustically\, he uses Sunrise Pickups and Krivo Pickups (and the 
 occasional good condenser microphone).
