Manson, WA 98831
Growing Merlot, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Chardonnay, the vineyard consists of two primary blocks: the six acre Block ’98 and the seven acre Block ’14.
The six acre Block ’98, so named because it was planted in 1998, is essentially a “founders” block since 1998 was the first year commercial grapes were planted in the Lake Chelan valley in modern times. Block ’98 contains one and one-half acres of Merlot, two and one-half acres of Pinot Noir, one acre of Cabernet Franc and one acre of Chardonnay.
The seven acre Block ’14, planted in 2014, contains three acres of Merlot, two acres of Cabernet Franc and two acres of Malbec.
Travis Clark, WineMaker
Winemaker Travis Clark first fell in love with wine in the village of Urbnisi, Georgia where he was living abroad and teaching English. Wine was made by each family and was a big part of daily life. Upon returning to the US, wine slowly grew from a hobby into a profession. Travis attended the Northwest Wine Academy, interned at JM Cellars in Woodinville for the 2016 harvest, and became head winemaker at Amos Rome Vineyards in 2017. He’s currently enrolled in the WSU Viticulture Certificate program. When he’s not making wine, he’s a full-time Dad to daughter Mallory and son Nolan.
