Officially the first winery in the valley and located in Manson, this is the more family focused side of Kludt-Williams Family brands. Wapato Point Cellars makes one of the broadest ranges in the valley, from Chardonnay, Riesling, and Pinot Grigio through Merlot, Syrah, Malbec, and Bordeaux and Rhône blends. Fruit comes almost exclusively from their 40+ acres of estate vines with some incredible Walla Walla growers such as Cougar Crest brought in to round out the harvest. Its headline moment came in 2022, when its 2018 Cougar Crest Cabernet Franc took “Best of the Best” with 99 points at the Sunset International Wine Competition, the first Washington wine to top that event. The Winemaker’s Grill restaurant and huge lawn for the kids makes the visit unforgettable.
